Glasses Home Try On

Image
I just wanted to make a post to rave about the new trend in glasses home try on from websites. I have used Warby Parker in the past, but it seems there are more and more companies doing this and I totally love it. Recently I tried Warby Parker again, and Rivet & Sway. I LOVED Rivet & Sway.  I loved the personal service that I received. From the beginning I was able to email photos of my frames to a personal stylist -- Claudia, and even though I didn't find any glasses I wanted in my first home try on, she stayed with me through my second home try on to give me opinions about those too! She was helpful, kind, and eager to help. I ended up finding the perfect glasses in my second home try on, and I couldn't ask for anything more. The packaging details, the ease of use through the home try on process, and the personal service make Rivet & Sway a company that I will continue to frequent for my glasses needs.  Here are some of the frames that I tried: And...

Stitch Fix Again!

Image
I received another Stitch Fix recently and here is what I received: Pink Jeans, wasn't a huge fan of them, for some reason I can't pull off colored pants. Returned. Cute top that had tigers on it, I liked this, but didn't LOVE. It wasn't cheap enough either for what it was. Returned. Faux wrap dress that I hated, as you can tell by my expression. This was too short and not a good fit for me. Returned. Pretty two-toned necklace. Liked this, but not the price. Returned. Pretty black top, this was the piece that I kept from the fix, it was slimming and a nice material. Kept! In case you're wondering how Stitch Fix works, this is printed on the inside of the box: And you receive these cute style cards that show you some great ways to style your pieces: All in all I'm happy with Stitch Fix, and I currently get monthly fixes, you're able to skip any month or push it out to another date. I love the flexibili...

StitchFix

So even though I totally love shopping, I joined Stitch Fix. It is a personal styling service that sends you clothes that they think you will like to try on! Each time you want to schedule a "fix" you pay a $20 "styling fee" and they pick out about 5 items of clothing to send to you based on your personal preferences, sizes, and price points. When your items arrive you have 3 days to decide what to keep and what to send back. The $20 styling fee goes toward one of the items. If you decide to keep all the items you even get a 25% discount! I was not paid to write this post, and I paid for my Stitch Fix with my own money. But, if you'd like to join, I do get a little incentive if you sign up using my link, so please do!  I received my first box a few weeks ago and for reference I requested fall colors. I am so addicted to shopping Lilly Pulitzer that I often forget that I actually live in New England and I should try to incorporate some fall colors into my wa...

Tune in Tuesdays

So I'm like, totally obsessed with Les Miserables. Actually.... scratch that.... totally obsessed with musicals/broadway. I love Glee. I love RENT. I love it all. But right now, it's Les Mis, because the movie was simply phenomenal. It's no wonder that it won so many Golden Globes last night! "On My Own" and "Do You Hear the People Sing" have long been in my shower singing repertoire.  But the movie has given me a larger appreciation for the show as a whole. I saw it on Broadway when I was in 10th grade, shortly after my high school put on a production of the show. Overall, this movie was just amazing. The on set recording of the songs and the raw emotion were breathtaking. I don't recommend taking your boyfriend to this movie though.... mine HATED it. But musicals aren't for everyone.
